Kurt Jackson - painting ancient hedges of the Islands of Scilly, for the BBC programme 'A Picture of Britian'
An A38 Films Production for BBC South West "A Picture of Cornwall - by Kurt Jackson" will be shown on BBC1 South
A new 30 minute film about West Cornwall artist Kurt Jackson. Made for the BBC's PICTURE OF BRITAIN series, this action packed film follows the progress on one of Kurt's huge seascapes, painted from the clifftop overlooking Priest Cove, Cape Cornwall . It also shows Kurt at work on three other projects: sketching a local fisherman at work off the Cape; documenting action on the Greenpeace ship leading the campaign against dolphin slaughter; and underwater off the coast of Scilly, painting submerged ancient hedges Director Mick Catmull has made a number of films for television about this part of Cornwall, including Joan, Cornwall Eclipsed and Cape Slip. Both Mick and Kurt will be present at the screening to talk about the making of the film and to answer questions.
