Untitled Textile Design
Gouache with stencil attached to paper , 1955, signed by the
artist in pencil and dated. In a different hand is written in
pencil "Size of repeat 4" x 4". Beneath the design
is shown examples of the 4 colours employed in the design, dark
blue, light blue, pink and yellow.
Note: The artist was famous for her fashion and textile designs
an example of which is this piece obviously made for a silk
dress.
design: 20 x 15 cm - sheet 370 x 528 mm
Condition: The design itself is in excellent condition. the
mount sheet has several handling creases.
