Note: This image was designed for the the poster announcing
the Lichtenstein exhibition at the Stedelij Museum, Amsterdam
which ran from the 4th November
to the 17th December 1967. It was produced both with and without
the exhibition text.
Condition: Three very small tears on margin. Minor folds and
cockling.
Edition: The poster version of this (unsigned) was made in an
edition of 5000 copies with exhibition information. 550 impressions
were made without the typography at the bottom on a heavier
paper some of which were signed by the artist. A further 1000
impressions were made. Of these 450 copies were sent to the
Tate Gallery, London, where they may have been overprinted with
text relating to that venue. The remaining 550 of these copies,
(of which ours is an example) without text were shipped to Poster
Originals, New York, and are stamped on verso (Printed in Holland)
lower right.
