'The Lemon Street Gallery is generally acknowledged as the most prestigious gallery in the county.' The Guardian newspaper 4th September 2004.
Situated in Truro's prestigious Lemon Street, since opening in 1999 Lemon Street Gallery has gathered an enviable reputation for dealing in the best contemporary art available in the South West of England. Louise Jones is the owner and director of Lemon Street Gallery. As the daughter of one of Scotland's foremost painters, she has impeccable credentials for running a successful art business. The past five years have seen the gallery grow from a single exhibition space to become the region's largest gallery, comprising three light-filled floors providing a classic yet contemporary backdrop to the highest quality art and sculptural installations.
The gallery features a wide range of up and coming and established British artists, and is ideally placed to draw on Cornwall's rich modernist tradition. There is a yearly calendar of solo and group exhibitions from gallery artists such as: Barrie Cook, Sandra Blow, Lisa Wright, John Hoyland, Kurt Jackson, and Wilhemina Barns-Graham. We also promote our artists through touring exhibitions at major art institutions nationwide.
Clients range from individuals to corporate buyers, both UK and international, including commissioning art for specific interior design projects. Our strong sales base is continually enhanced by our presence at national Art Fairs including the London Art Fair and the Glasgow Art Fair. Lemon Street Gallery is now looking to participate in an international show - Art Basel being the first choice for any discerning gallery.
